Our packaging is a healthy mix of biodegradable and compostable, recycled and widely recyclable.
What does biodegradable and compostable mean?
- It is made using renewable plant sources such as corn or sugar cane.
- These plants are then turned into polymerised bio plastics.
- These materials will then break down within 12 weeks in an industrial composting facility.
- The process of manufacturing compostable packaging produces 80 – 90% less greenhouse gas than the manufacturing of plastic packaging.
And our recycled packaging – what about that?
- These pieces are made using recycled materials and they can then be recycled once again closing the loop completely.
Packaging miles? Some of our packaging deliveries are made using a fully electric vehicle reducing the impact of harmful emissions on the environment.
