I started pod in 2005 after a health scare; whilst getting fit afterwards I couldn’t find anywhere serving proper, natural food near work.
We're a new kind of food business, created by a group of people who are genuinely passionate about what we're doing. Now, after 6 years of trading we have over 20 pods open across London and more opening all the time. We're pioneering a completely new kind of fast food and we care passionately about five things:
OUR FOOD. We use natural, meticulously sourced ingredients to make delicious, nutritious food.
OUR PRINCIPLES. We want to build a business that we’re all proud of. So we embrace Fairtrade / low food miles / sustainable fishing / Rainforest Alliance / no additives, preservatives or colourings / seasonality and UK farms.
OUR PEOPLE. Our passionate, committed team is the reason we’re growing so fast. Kate Skerritt is master of all things operational, Emma Blackmore is in charge of our delicious, healthy menu and the marketing team communicates everything we do to our growing number of fans.
OUR PACKAGING. We serve our food in compostable packaging, nothing less, and we provide a composter in every pod. Right now it’s just us doing this, but we believe everybody should.
OUR PODS. pods are built using sustainably resourced materials and are painted with organic paint and filled with recycled furniture.
There's no extra profit in any of this but everybody at pod is proud of what we’re doing.
